Once in a while you will find a home of this vintage that has been so lovingly renovated and maintained that it makes owning an antique home so enjoyable. Built in 1822 by the Stearns Brothers with a major renovation by the current owner in the 1980's where the house was taken down to the studs, rewired, plumbed, insulated and new sheetrock walls, new bathrooms and they created the kitchen from what was 3 rooms accented by adding beautiful reclaimed hand hewn beams. Taking it a step further they also removed all the paint on all the woodwork and doors and repainted. Since then new windows, metal roof, driveway and the post and beam barn that was built in 1987 and the home of Northfield Antiques until just recently. Truly a remarkable home with sun filled spacious rooms, all wood floors, second floor porch off the master bedroom suite, lots of storage and a 2 story 5 stall garage with full access and above. Set on 2.48 beautifully manicured acres, tree lined for additional privacy.
